COVID: VSD Practice Protocols

Updated 4/1/21

Current Phase: 3

Please note the following is a summary intended to highlight and add clarity to key policies and protocols for VSD Athletics.  The full text issued can be found here: Healthy WA Roadmap to Recovery, Sporting Activities COVID Requirements, WIAA Return-To-Play Guidelines and VSD COVID-19 Safety Handbook.

Masks are required for all athletes/participants. Coaches, trainers, managers, spotters, and any other paid or volunteer staff must wear face coverings at ALL times (unless allowed in the Phase 3 Sporting Activities Guidelines) while on VSD Campus.

Six feet of distance must be maintained among athletes when not engaged in sporting activities.

Upon arrival all students and coaches will be screened (Daily Health Attestation) for signs/symptoms of COVID-19 prior to workout.  Anyone with symptoms will not be allowed to participate.  Please stay at home if you do not feel well or if you have been informed you have been in close contact of someone with COVID-19.

The use of locker rooms will be limited to individual handwashing and restroom use only.  Please arrive dressed for activity in clean attire.

Cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment used will be a top priority.

Handwashing stations and/or hand sanitizer will be readably available at all facilities.

Bring your own water bottle and/or towel.  Please do not share.

Those who are excluded from training or contests due to COVID-19 symptoms or because they are close contacts must follow DOH and local public health isolation and quarantine guidance before returning to training or contests.
